We keep the record of what each deploy changed.

TrueClara is deploy-attributed revenue-regression detection for subscription Next.js teams, built by The Plain Works Co. — dollar impact, deploy attribution, and rollback context in one record.

Why we exist

Most production regressions never throw an error. A route quietly stops converting, an edge drops after a deploy, a value path loses traffic — and nobody gets paged. Teams find these behavioral regressions late, by reading dashboards and guessing which release was responsible.

We started TrueClara because that first hour after a soft failure is almost always spent rebuilding the story by hand. The route graph, the deploy, the pull request, and the observation each live somewhere different. We keep them in one record so the answer is attributed instead of reassembled.

What we focus on

Next.js is the product boundary. That focus lets our build-time parser understand route files, links, route groups, and deployment context instead of treating every app as a stream of generic events — something a generic analytics pipe can't do.

We are deliberately building the smallest reliable system for route behavior, deploy attribution, and observations before widening the surface area. Precision over breadth is a decision, not a stage we're waiting to outgrow.

How we think about detection

An alert is only worth the interruption if you can trust it. We treat detection as a statistics problem, not a threshold you eyeball: route-level value reach measured against an hour-of-week baseline, CUSUM change-point detection so small sustained drifts accumulate into a signal instead of firing on a single noisy spike, and a confidence level and sample size attached to every call. When the data can't support a defensible claim, the correct output is silence.

We write this up in the open — see the CUSUM change-point detection deep dive — because a detection product should be able to show its work.

How we build

A few commitments we hold ourselves to:

  • No fabricated data. Your dashboard stays empty until real signal arrives. We would rather show nothing than invent a number.
  • Privacy by default. Cookieless aggregate mode, US data residency, and an SDK that only reports out — no read access to your source, your database, or your infrastructure.
  • Honest pricing. A permanent free tier, no per-seat tax, and no usage surprises. Caps are explicit.
  • Plain claims. We don't carry badges we haven't earned or numbers we can't defend, and we say so on the page.

Who builds it

TrueClara is built by The Plain Works Co., an independent product studio based in Seoul, focused on time-series data and product craft. We would rather ship a narrow tool that works than a broad one that doesn't — and we'd rather earn trust by being precise and honest than by claiming more than we've shipped. Questions reach a human, and we reply within one business day.
